Madison Township Schoolsof the past There were 20 different schools that served the Madison Township area in the past. The names of those schools were Adams, Mahan, 1864 Ireland Grade School, Old St. Mary's, St. Mary's, Hillsboro, Beech Point, 1886 Ireland Grade School, 1915 Ireland School, Stewart Log, Shiloh, Green, Pirtle, New Antioch, Alexander and the Corn Log. On the fringe areas were the Bainbridge Township schools of Ackerman, Dick, and Marks. These schools were all ancestors of the 1990 Ireland Elementary School.
